The Geneva Elevator Board

Geneva Elevator is a Joint Venture formed between the Elevator Group and Geneva Healthcare, it was formed in March 2015.  The board of Geneva Elevator are responsible for the governance and performance of Geneva Elevator.

Josephine Wallis


Josephine (Jo) is the founder and developer of Geneva Healthcare which originated in New Zealand and over 17 years has spread across Australasia, UK, Europe and North America.


Prior to her role at Geneva Healthcare International, Jo had fifteen years clinical nursing and health management experience both in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.  She was one of the first students to complete the post graduate Diploma of Management (Health Services) at the Graduate School of Business, Auckland University.

Jo’s particular interest these days is working at a strategic level with organisations faced with staffing challenges, with little or no funding for recruitment and the constant pressure of needing to provide consistent high levels of care with staffing shortfalls.  In essence, supporting organisations to do more with the same or less resource.

Peter Wilberfoss


Peter Wilberfoss is an executive member of Geneva Healthcare with responsibility for Finance, IT and Group Strategy. Prior to joining Geneva Healthcare in 2012, Peter had a career spanning Merchant Banking, Property, Project Management, Business Consulting as well as a researcher and tutor at the University of Auckland.

Peter has worked in New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom, and has a number of academic qualifications including a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Arts, with First Class Honours in Anthropology, and a Ph.D. in Biological Science from the University of Auckland.

Peter’s main focus is to maintain the strong financial standing of the business, to assist with the continued impressive growth of the Geneva Group of companies, and to ensure industry leading development of the latest innovations in IT and business process.

Martin Wylie

MartinWMartin Wylie is the CEO of the Elevator Group and has had over thirty years of senior management experience in numerous companies.  He is a lawyer but most of his roles have been that of CEO. 

Martin headed up Simpson Grierson, and also had a significant amount of time in tech related companies, at Slingshot and ihug, as Chief Executive. He was the Group Company Secretary of Telecom from 1987 - 1996. He also was at Steel and Tube Holdings Limited, EMCO Group Limited, AETNA Health Insurance, and did a stint consulting for the World Bank in Lesotho.

Martin has very personal reasons for joining the Elevator Group as one of his children has Autism and providing support for people with disabilities is an issue that is personal for Martin.  His wife is Dr Rosamund Hill and he is a father of four children, including a son Claude who has Autism. Martin has also been on the board of Autism New Zealand for the last five years.

Gill Mahony 


A chartered accountant, Gill is the Finance Manger at Elevator Group.  Gill's previous roles have been as the Corporate Finance Manager at APN New Zealand (the publisher of the NZ Herald) prior to starting at Elevator Group in 2009.

Gill is responsible for the Elevator Group's  finance systems, reporting requirements for Government contracts and governance issues.
